Emergency Maintenance Notifcations
03/05/2013 - TeamSpeak3 Outage / Scheduled Maintenance
*** UPDATE: 03/05/2013 @ 05:30PM ET ***
At this time all services have been restored. If your service is not running and will not start in the control panel please contact support for further assistance. We appreciate your patience during this event and sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused.

ALL SERVICES SHOULD BE RESTORED AT THIS TIME

We believe we have found a resolution to the issue and are currently working to restore services manually on each spawn. We do have to wait between spawn startups approx. 5 minutes so we will be starting up services slowly over the next hour. We do apologize of how long this has taken and will take but we are working as hard and as quick as possible to get your services back online.

As of this time we have restored services to:
- ts81.light-speed.com [173.192.87.54]
- ts100.light-speed.com [208.43.64.180]
- ts101.light-speed.com[173.192.87.62]
- ts58.light-speed.com[50.23.212.53]

We believe we have found a resolution to the issue and are currently working to restore services manually on each spawn. At this time we are still working with Teamspeak to resolve this issue. We have determined that the issue effects some additional spawns and have noted them for your reference below:

(2) 174.36.215.251 - ts56.light-speed.com
(3) 208.43.64.178 - ts79.light-speed.com
(4) 184.173.169.22 - ts104.light-speed.com

(6) 50.23.212.53 - ts58.light-speed.com

The current complete list of effected spawns is posted at the top of this post. Please check back often to determine status. We are working as quickly as possible to restore service to all affected customers.

We are still working with TeamSpeak Systems GmbH to resolve the errors effecting those spawns mentioned below. After waiting for 20 minutes per their recommendation the error has returned and we are still without a solution at this time. We are working further with them to isolate the problem and will update this post when we have information available.

As of this time we have isolated several ip addresses having the troubles and have shut down the spawns for 20-minutes per TeamSpeak Systems recommendation. We are continuing to work with them in order to restore service as quickly as possible to all effected customers.

Customers hosted on the following spawns/IPS are affected:
(1) 208.43.64.180 - ts100.light-speed.com [shutdown @ 02:30PM; restore @ 02:50PM]
(2) 173.192.87.62 - ts101.light-speed.com [shutdown @ 02:30PM; restore @ 02:50PM]
(3) 173.192.87.54 - ts81.light-speed.com [shutdown @ 02:45PM; restore @ 03:05PM]
(4) 174.36.193.150 (QueryPort: 10011) - ts50.light-speed.com [shutdown @ 02:50PM; restore @ 03:10PM]

Customers hosted on the following spawns/IPs have had thier services restarted as of 02:45PM ET to fix a separate issue:
(1) 174.36.193.150 (QueryPort:10012) - ts50.light-speed.com
(2) 184.173.169.17 (QueryPort:10011) - ts102.light-speed.com
(3) 50.23.212.53 (QueryPort:10016) - ts58.light-speed.com

*** UPDATE: 03/05/2013 @ 01:47PM ET ***
We are still experiencing issues with TeamSpeak's phone-home servers shutting down customer servers. We are working with Teamspeak Systems GmbH to get this resolved. We will post details back when we have further information. At this time we have our monitoring systems automatically restarting any servers which are shut down by Teamspeak in an attempt to keep as many customers online as possible.

*** UPDATE: 03/05/2013 @ 12:30PM ET ***
TeamSpeak's phone home servers are not allowing us to start all of our customers servers back online because of "started too many times in a certain time period". We are working to get TeamSpeak to lift this artificial limit.

*** UPDATE: 03/05/2013 @ 09:00AM ET ***
Due to this maintenance event taking longer than anticipated we have extended the maintenance window until 11AM ET. At this time all services in Dallas have been updated and are online and stable. Services in other locations may still be effected.

Event Scope: Security / Operating System Updates / TeamSpeak 3 Update

To ensure the security and reliability of our network and services LightSpeed Network Operations will be performing security updates and operating system upgrades to our network and infrastructure on Tuesday Mar 5th 2013. TeamSpeak 3 servers will also be updated to 3.0.7. During this time period our physical servers will be rebooted resulting in a 5-10 minute outage for your voice services. Your voice servers will be unavailable during this time.

*** This event was originally scheduled for Monday Feb 25th 2013 and has been rescheduled to take place on Tuesday March 5th 2013 instead.

Unfortunately, there does appear to be a minor networking issue within your server's location. We have contacted our technicians and are working with them to resolve this issue. We understand how frustrating this must be and we do appreciate your patience throughout this issue. We are very sorry for the inconvenience this must be causing for you and your users. Unfortunately at this moment we do not have an ETA on the fix. However, We assure you we are doing our best to ensure all problems are resolved as quickly as possible. If we receive any new information we will be updating our news post regarding this issue.
